OTOROHANGA SALE
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having held their Otorohanga sale yesterday when the advertised entry of sheep, and cattle came forward. There Was a ready market for all classes at late ruling rates with lambs in some cases rather firmer. A small pen of very choice fat lambs realised the good price of 34s 3d.
Quotations: —Choice fat lambs 34s 3d; light stores 22s 3d; good Southdown lambs 18s 7d; medium do, 16s to 17s; medium shorn S.D. lambs 15s Id; fair shorn w.f. wether, lambs to 16s 6d; small Romney ewe lambs' 20s 6d; cull lambs 9s 6d to 13s; 5-year ewes, good quality, 26s 6d; small 2tooth S.D. wethers 225; aged Romney rams li to 3 gns; plain fat cows £4 3s to £4 8s; light fat Jersey cows £3 6s to £3 12s; boner cows £2 10s to £2 17s 6d; potter bulls, good weights, £5 15s to £6 ss; medium sorts £4 10s to £5; lighter from £3 5s to £4; porkers sold from £2 3s to £2 ss; small stores £1 3s 6d to £1 ss.
