Reference to the fact that Napier boasted a “flying nurse” was made by the Mayor of Napier, Mr. C. O. Morse, when addressing members of the Napier branch of the Plunket Society at their annual meeting. “I think that the society should feel very gratified to know that we should now have attached to the society a ‘flying nurse,’ ” Mr. Morse said. “I Relieve that this branch of the society is unique in this respect. Nurse N. Arnott, I am given to understand, is the only ‘flying Plunket nurse’ in the Dominion.”
