GOLF NOTES

MEN'S SECTION. On Saturday last the "A" team played Otorohanga at Otorohanga, and the "B" teams played at Te Kuiti. Both matches in the men's section resulted in a win for the Otorohanga Club, the "A" team by 5 matches to 2, and the "B" team by 5 matches to 3. Results were as follows: "A" Team.—Hotson beat Brainsby 3 and 1; Mcßobie beat Dinsdale 5 and 4; Taylor lost to Hine 6 and 5; Fleming beat S. Wilson 5 and 3; L. Lovell beat Saunders 1 up; Dr. Bonnington beat Harkness 4 and 3; Fry lost to Innes-Jones 3 and 2. "B" Team.—C. Jackson lost to Powdrill 5 and 4. Thompson beat Mayo 5 and 4; Morrison lost to Hetet 1 up; Liddy beat Smart 2 up; Prescott lost to Johnston 2 and 1; Quinn beat Hotu 2 and 1; Irvine beat Lambie 2 and 1; Schultz beat O'Brien 2 up. The 18 holes will be open for play next Saturday and the first medal round of the season will be played for a small trophy. Players will start in fours and the following is the draw:— Didsbury 30, F. All members are requested to return cards which should be accordingly entered up, dated and signed by the scorer immediately after completion of the 18 holes. Local rules on the back of the men's card must be observed with the addition that all bare ground apart from green bunkers is to be treated as ground under repair, the ball being dropped therefrom without penalty not nearer the hole. Junior members are asked to report to the captain at the clubhouse before commencing play. Any members unable to. .play are requested to notify the club captain immediately, whilst members desiring to play whose names are omitted from the list are also requested to notify the club captain. LADIES' SECTION. The club match between Otorohanga and Te Kuiti on Saturday resulted in wins for the Te Kuiti A team by 5 matches to 3, and for the B team by 8 matches to nil. The following are the detailed results:— A Grade.—Miss Graham lost to Mrs. Austin 3 and 2; Mrs. Hetet beat Miss Morley 3 and 2; Mrs. Trapski lost to. Mrs. Miller. 4 and 3; Miss Dinsdale beat Mrs. Hotson 2 up; Miss Podevin beat Miss Osmond 6 and 4; Mrs. Hargreaves beat Mrs. Morley 5 and 4; Miss Matthew beat Mrs. Prescott 1 up; Miss C. Hine lost to .Miss McKerras 1 up. B Grade. —Mrs. Patterson lost to Mrs. Hitchings 3 and 2; Mrs. Hitchcock lost to Miss Gresham 3 and 1; Mrs. Liddy lost to Miss N.
