TENNIS CLUB DANCE

FUNCTION THOROUGHLY ENJOYED. Verv few dances have been held in Te Kuiti of late, so that the Te Kuiti Tennis Club dance, which ushered in the winter dancing season in Te Kuiti, was assured of a good crowd being present. About a hundred and forty attended this function, which was of a most enjoyable nature. This was almost the ideal number for the Parish Hall. Though there was still plenty of room for enjoyable dancing on the perfect floor, the crowd was a large one and the dance went with the swing of the function well attended by patrons out for a pleasant evening. Phil Swift's orchestra were playing and added greatly to the success. A tasty supper was provided by the ladies' committee. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss M. Matthew and Mr. R. Murdock. Proof of the success of the dance was that it was thoroughy enjoyed up to the late hour at which it finished, and it is understood that the Tennis Club are very pleased with the financial result.
