BUTTER AGAIN RISES
NEW ZEALAND UP TO 91/-. CHEESE IN DEMAND. Prices for New Zealand butter on the London market continue to rise, choicest salted being- quoted 6d higher at about 90s per cwt., some merchants' quotations being as high as 91s per cwt. The market is firmer, with a good demand. Cheese also is in demand and the market is steady. White is selling unchanged at 57s 6d per cwt., and coloured slightly higher at 565. Merchants have received the following reports, dated May 12, from their London principals:— A. H. Turnbull and Company, Limited, from W. Weddel and Company, Limited.—Butter: Danish, 100 s; New Zealand, salted, 90s; Australian, 90s. Cheese: White, 57s 6d; coloured, 565. There is a good demand for both butter and cheese. New Zealand Producers' Co-oper-ative Marketing Association, Limited. —Butter: New Zealand, 89s 6d to 90s; Danish, 101 s. The market is firm. Cheese: White 57s 6d; coloured 55s 6d. The market is steady. Joseph Nathan and Company, Limited, from Trengrouse and Nathan, I Limited.—Butter: 90s to 91s. The market is firmer. J
