The trial of Eric Mareo, musician, aged 44, on a charge of having murdered his wife, Thelma Clarice Mareo, at Auckland, on April 15 of last year, was commenced before Mr. Justice Fair and a jury in the Supreme Court yesterday. When called upon to plead Mareo answered "not guilty" in a strong, clear voice. He was allowed to be seated throughout the proceedings.,
