TOURNAMENT AT OTOROHANGA The Otorohanga Tennis Club's seventh annual handicap tournament was concluded at the week-end in glorious weather. The tournament again proved very popular, and large entries from various parts of the King Country were received. The standard of tennis was very good and some close and exciting matches were played. Brown (Te Kuiti)" again demonstrated his superiority by winning the men's singles. During the past three years this player has the very fine record of winning this event twice and being runner-up another year. The ladies' singles was won by a most promising and improving junior player, Miss F. Holmes (Otorohanga) , who displayed splendid form. This player has shown great improvement during the season, and undoubtedly has a future in the tennis world. Brown and Waretini annexed the men's doubles from Hughes and Hughes, who had defeated several prominent pairs before reaching the final. The final of the ladies' doubles between Misses Holmes and McCracken and Mesdames Patterson and Trapski will be played during the week.
