LOCAL OBSERVANCE.
The 17th anniversary of Armistice Day was observed in Te Kuiti yesterday with the simple ceremonial which has been customary for a number of years. The tolling of the firebell ushered in the two minutes silence, during which all vehicular traffic in v the streets was halted and an impressive hush fell on the town, indicative of the deep emotional effect of the observance. "The Last Post" and "Reveille"' were sounded by Master Lloyd Lee.
