The Wanganui Jockey Club’s winter meeting opened to-day. The weather was showery early but cleared before the racing started. The track is in good order and the attendance good. Morris) 8.2 . . 1 4 Orapai (8.6) 2 10— Bodyline (7.0) 3 Scratched: Cawbeen. Won by two lengths, one length between second and third. Time, 1.13 2-5. CENTURY HURDLES. Of £250. 1% miles. 2—High Grader (Walsh) 10.7 .. 1 5 Tareha (9.9) ;2 4—Esteem (10,2) 3 Scratched: Gold Nag, Won by a length % length between second and third.
