FRANCO-RUSSIAN PACT
HOPE FOR EASTERN EUROPEAN AGREEMENT. (Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 1.20 p.m.) Moscow, May 15. A joint communique emphasises that the Franco-Soviet pact does not weaken the aim at forming a regional Eastern European pact of non-aggres-sion and non-assistance to an aggressor. M. Laval said the pact was based on the principle of peace.
