BODY-LINE BOWLING
AUSTRALIANS’ OBJECTION UPHELD. WARNER’S CANDID STATEMENT. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 11.25 a.m.) London, December 7. Speaking at a cricket club dinner, Mx\ F. P. Warner said: “I must say the bowling to which the Australians objected was against the spirit of the game. The British public have not been sufficiently educated in this matter and there seems to be an idea that body-line and the leg theory are the same. Never was there a bigger mistake. They are as different as night from day. We lost the Ashes to a better side in all departments.”
