In the Davis Cup challenge round Borota defeated Vines, 6 —2, 6 —4, 3 —6, 6 —4, Cochet defeated Allison, 5—7, 7—5, 7—5, 6—2. The matches were witnessed by a record crowd at Autel, including the President, M. Herriott, and Mr. Dwight Davis.
