SIX BOLD SAILORS
VOYAGE IN TWO TINY VESSELS Six young men have set out from Portsmouth on a daring voyage across the Atlantic in two small boats. One of the vessels, the Ahto, a 24ft. sloop, is manned by two brothers, one of whom, Mr. Ahto Walter, took the vessel from the Baltic across the Atlantic and back last year. He and his brother, Yarillo, are Esthonians. The second boat is the Enterprise, a 32ft. auxiliary cutter, which carries a crew of four, consisting of Messrs. C. P. Barber, Ronald Wright, U. K. Walter and Eric Hughes. "There is nothing behind it," declared Mr. Barber, "we are going for the sheer fun of the thing." The party proposed to make first for the coast of Spain. They were then to proceed to West Africa and go by way of the West Indies to America.
