Making assurance trebly sure would seem' to be the motto of a wicket-keeper in a cricket match at New Plymouth on Tuesday. The bowler delivered a fast ball which the batsman reached forward to and snicked. Thus, deflected the ball touched the off bail, removed it and lodged in the gloves of the wicketkeeper, who appealed for a catch, and then, seeing the batsman was out of his crease, mowed down the stumps.
