TE KUITI CLUB. The following is the draw for the first round of the handicap combines to be completed before 12th March. Bear and Mrs. Hetet (10) v. Xambie and W. Barr (25); Browne and Miss B. McLeod (scr.) v. Davidson and Mrs. Kennedy (12); Tate and Miss Dinsdale (7) v. Ormsby and Miss Pettigrew (12); McCarthy and Miss D. Barr (15) v. Dick and Miss Allison (25); Garvey and Mrs. Tate (15) v. Cameron and Miss Matthews (20); Seeker and Miss Frerichs (10) v. Tilley and Miss Wood (15); Bathgate and Miss Gray (7) a bye; McLeod and Miss P. McLeod (5) a bye. * Further results of the championships and handicaps are:— Garvey beat Bear, 9—B; Lusk beat Dick, 9—6; Browne beat McCarthy, 5—6, 6—l, 6—l; Miss B. McLeod beat Miss Frerichs, 6—2, 6—3; Mrs. Hetet beat Mrs. Tate, 6—2, 6— i; Lusk and Mills beat Davidson and Hansen, 60—57; Tate and Seeker beat Bear and Cameron, 61—-59, which now brings them to the finals.
Misses B. McLeod and Frerichs have qualified for the final by defeating Misses Matthews and- Pettigrew 40—34. Misses Wood and W. Barr have also reached the final by defeating Mrs. Kennedy and Miss D. Barr, 40—33.
