WEDDING BELLS
McANENY —CLARKE.
A very pretty wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church, Te Kuiti, on Saturday, October 3rd, when Miss Lena Clarke, of London, England, was married to Walter Roland, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. McAneny, of Te Kuiti. The bride entered the church on the arm of Mr. Pellow, Te Kuiti, and looked charming in an ankle length sleeveless frock of white satin, also long lace mittens. She also wore the orthodox veil with a coronet of orange blossoms and carried a bouquet to tone. Miss Rose Burns, of Hamilton, was bridesmaid, and looked very becoming in a frock of orange satin and hat and bouquet to match. The flower girls were Misses Grace and Joyce Ongley (nieces of the bridegroom), and looked very sweet in long frocks of apricot and lemon organdi, respectively. They carried posies of yellow primroses with bows of organdi. The best man was Mr. Rabitt, of Rukuhia. About 25 guests assembled at the “Carlton” for the wedding breakfast, where the usual toast list was honoured. Mr. and Mrs. McAneny left by the 5.50 p.m. train for Auckland, where part of the honeymoon is being spent.
