Since the inception of the school dental clinics service 2,132,509 operations have been performed, states the annual report of the Director of Dental Hygiene. There are clinics at 174 centres, in which 16 dental officers and 202 dental nurses are engaged. Nine hundred and 30 schools, with 67,652 children, were under treatment last year, and 463,204 operations were carried out, an increase of 93;i30 over the previous 12 months.
