REVIVAL CAMPAIGN
TO BE HELD AT TE KUITI. Mr. Harry Dawson, who is conducting a revival campaign at Te Kuiti, arrived on Thursday evening, accompanied by Mrs. Dawson and their young daughter. The mission has just completed a series of successful meetings at Waitoa, Morrinsville, Ngaruawahia and Hamilton. Last evening Mr. Dawson and representatives of local evangelical bodies were the guests of the campaign committee at a tea gathering held in the Carlton Tea Rooms. Mr. Dawson was introduced by Mr. J. Nicholls, chairman of the committee, who gave an interesting resume of missions held in Te Kuiti during the past 30 years. Mr. Dawson spoke of the work that had been done in other campaigns with which he had been associated and expressed pleasure at having the opportunity of visiting Te Kuiti. He related a number of remarkable cases of conversions to show that the age of miracles had not passed, and outlined various details that were essential to a successful mission. This evening the campaign prayer session will be continued at Mr. Darrington's residence. The meetings commence to-morrow night with an after-church rally at 8.15 in- Barraud and Abraham's hall, Taupiri Street. The subject of Mr. Dawson's opening address will be "The Calamity of the World's Changing Conditions and the Unchanging God." Owing to the hall being otherwise engaged on Monday night the intercessory service will be held in the Methodist Church at 7.30. The meetings will be resumed in Barraud and Abraham's hall on Tuesday night and continues there for the remainder of the "campaign, the week night gatherings commencing at 7.30. A feature of the campaign, will be community singing and Mrs. Dawson's solos which are usually much appreciated. An organ of exceptional quality and tone has been kindly loaned for the occasion, and should enhance the enjoyment of the singing.
