VICE-REGAL VISIT

ON MONDAY AFTERNOON. Their Excellencies the GovernorGeneral and Lady Bledisloe, accompanied by Lady Nora Jellicoe and Sir John Hanham, will arrive on Monday at 2.30 p.m. at the school. A Guard of Honour will be formed by the Girl Guides and Brownies on the one side and the Boy Scouts and Cubs on the other. After inspection of the guard, Their Excellencies will proceed to the platform in front of the flagstaff and facing a hollow square formed by school children. The public will form up behind the school children. After inspection the Guides and Scouts under their leaders will form up inside the square in front of the platform. The Maniapoto Silver Band, formed up at one side of the platform, will then play the National Anthem, followed by an address by His Worship the Mayor. After the address the official party will be given tea in one of the school rooms, during which time organised inter-house school games will be arranged and the school will be open for inspection by the public. After tea Her Excellency will visit the public hospital. The executive and members of the Te Kuiti and District R.SA. have been invited to parade, and will participate in the arrangements of welcome.
