Senator Reed, Pennsylvania, after re-advocating to the President, Mr. Hoover, his proposal for a sales tax, said he believed the United States should follow Britain's example and face the music. The Senator believed that unless additional moneys were raised by taxation the Treasury's deficit will reach far beyond 1,500,000,000 dollars. i
