HEADLAMP RATTLE.

On many types of popular headlamps the glass is liable to rattle after considerable mileage. In addition to such a noise being a source of annoyance it may eventually result in the glass being cracked. If the glass is retained by a circlip, a permanent remedy is easily forthcoming, and against the inner flange place a length of acetylene tubing; replace the glass and compress the tubing, press the circlip into position. In addition to preventing rattle, this method will also ensure that the lamp body is watertight, thus preserving the condition of the reflector.
