MOSLEM-HINDUS CLASH
SERIOUS RIOTING IN VILLAGE.
(Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 9.29 a.m.) Delhi, February 3. Fierce fighting occurred at Bewal, a Hindu-Sikh village, as the result of a Moslem school teacher cooking cow flesh, which is sacred to Hindus. A Moslem who was beaten by the Hindus informed the Moslems in the adjoining villages, who besieged Bewal and looted and burnt fifteen shops and defiled the Hindu temple, flinging the cow flesh into it, and burnt alive a Sikh watchman. The casualties are unknown.
