FINGER CRUSHED
MISHAP AT QUARRY. As the result of the forefinger of his right hand being caught in the machinery at the Waitomo Lime-Com-pany’s quarry yesterday morning, Mr. J. M. Scott sustained a very painful accident. The limb was badly crushed, and the injured man was taken to the hospital and attended to by Dr. Isaac. It was found necessary to amputate the finger, but Mr. Scott is now progressing favourably.
