Picturing- Liberalism as saving the country from a "degradation of the most selfish, sordid aspect of nationalism represented by the haggling and grasping claws of tariffs with the chariot of patriotism harnessed to greed," Mr. Lloyd George, in a speech to Liberal candidates, announced his intention of keeping the MacDonald Government in power, after a slashing attack on the Government.
