THE WRECKED HEDWIG
MYSTERIOUS RUMOURS. OVER VESSEL'S ACTIVITIES. (Press Association. —Copyright.) (Received 10.40 a.m.) Hongkong, December 5. Mysterious rumours followed the rescue of the Hedwig's crew, which consists of the Dutch captain, the owner, two Britishers,, two Americans and nine Chinese. - The mystery is what the vessel was doing in the vicinity of Pratai when stranded. Sensational developments are expected, but the officials are extremely reticent.
(All the members of the crew of the Swedish ship Hedwig, which was wrecked on a reef south of Hongkong, are safely on board the cruiser Suffolk, after 48 hours' terrible experience in a raging sea.)
