OBITUARY.
MR. DAVID SHAW.
The death took place at Hamilton Hospital on the 28th October of ail old and very respected settler in the person of Mr David Shaw. Mr Shaw was born in Wanganui and received his education there, being an old boy of tihe Wanganui College. He was for many years fanning in the Raetihi district, and from there he returned to Wanganui.
Bfeingi a keein (horticulturist, Mr Shaw was engaged at the Wanganui College and was also custodian of the Wanganui bowling green. About 1918 he took up farming at Makauiti, and was keenly interested in any movement for the advancement of the district.
The deceased is survived by his widow and grown up family of one daughter, Mrs W. H. McGuckin, of Shannon, and five sons, Mr O. J. Shaw, of Wanganui, and Messrs D. R., A., S. G., and A. R. Shaw, of Mokauiti- The interment took place at Hamilton, the funeral being very largely attended.
