STOCK SALES.
LARGE YARDING AT PIO PIO. Some 2000 catfcle and about 1000 sheep were yarded at the Pio Pio saleyards on Thursday last. There was a large attendance of buyers, who were present from North Auckland, Waikato, Raetihi, Taumarunui and other outside districts. Most of the cattle •sold went to oufeide districts. Prices for cattle were not quite so high as those ruling at previous sales, but vendors met the market and the bulk of the yarding was sold under the hammer.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—We had good yardings of both sheep and cattle. There was a large attendance, including many outside buyers.
