FRANKTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held (their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday, 18th December, as under:— There was a Jairly large yarding of beef. Light steers sold at equal to 40s per 100, prime young cows at 38s, ordinary and second quality cows £7 7s 6d to £9 ss, vealers 27s 6d to £2 Bs. There was a small entry of store cattle and prices were unchanged. There was a large yarding of sheep. Only a few pens of fat ewes were yarded. These sold at 23s 6d to 25s 6d. Heavy prime store wethers made up to 325, light wethers 30s, unfinished wethers 26s 9d to 28s 9d, heavy spring lambs made to 30s 9d, small and medium weight lambs 25s to 27s 9d. There was a medium yarding of fat and store pigs, which sold at late rates. Heavy baconers £3 to £3 Is, good baconers £2 9s to £2 13s, lighter do £2 to £2 ss, good porkers £1 16s to £1 19s, lighter do £1 lis to £1 13s, best slips 25s to 28s, best weaners 14s 6d to 21s 6d, others 8s to 12s. WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. Tho Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—

Beef.—The market continues firm for both ox and cow beef, best prime ox making 40s and prime cow and heifer 36s per lOOlba. Fat Sheep.—Good yardings are coming forward, with prices easier for both wether and ewe mutton. Exporters are operating freely on lamb at per lb. Store Sheep.—-There is a good demand for shorn wethers, also a good inquiry for ewes and lambs.

Store Cattle.—All classes of stores are in demand; grown and young steers, good store cows, and yearling and two-year heifers are much sought after.

Pigs.—Big yardings of both fats and stores continue to come forward, prime baconers and porkers making equal to per lb. There is still good competition for all classes of stores. Horses—The market is quiet for all classes.
