TE KUITI FOOTBALL CLUB.

PRESENTATIONS TO MESSRS K. W. LOW AND G. LATTA.

The members of the Te Kuiti Football Club foregathered on Tuesday evening to make presentations to two of their members, Mr K. W. Low, on the occasion of his approaching marriage, and to Mr G. Latta, the late secretary of the club.

The president, Mr M. Matheson, occupied the chair.

Mr Carnachan, as past president, in presenting Mr Latta, on behalf of the club, with a pair of military brushes, mentioned the hard work Mr Latta had accomplished in the interests of the club. Its favourable position was very largely due to his efforts. They were all very sorry that Mr Latta, through pressure of business, was unable to carry on, but realised at the same time that it was unfair to expect one man to retain a position which the members should share from year to year. Mr Latta, in returning thanks, said he had been very glad to do all that he could to assist the club.

Mr H. C. Sibley, in presenting Mr Low, on behalf of the club members, with a silver entree dish, mentioned how much they regretted the loss of Mr Low from the club. They hoped it would be only temporary. Mr Sibley referred to Mr Low's long membership, during which he worked untiringly for the benefit of the club. both on and off the field. They aIK. hoped that he and his future wife* would enjoy all happiness and pros-

perity. Messrs C. Matthews, Cotter, McAvenue and Carnachan spoke in a similar strain.

Mr Low suitably replied, remarking that he was sorry that he would be unable to take an active part in the club this year, and mentioned the great pleasure he had obtained from his association with it. He hoped that he would be able to participate in their activities next year. During the evening musical and other items were contributed by Messrs Stubbings, Low, Latta, Peterson, Cowper and Paqualin. Mr C. H. Chatwin was at the piano.
