MOTOR BUS COMPETITION.

ACTION OF TRADES UNIONS. (By Telegraph.-—Press Association.) Auckland, this day. The effects of motor-bus competition on the tramways, and upon the City exchequer is being considered by various labour unions, whose general attitude is indicated by the following resolution, which was unanimously carried by the Builders' and General Labourers' Union last night:—"That this union pledges itself to support the Municipal trams in preference to privately-owned buses, and urges all other organisations to support our own service. It is tho bounden duty of all workers to support the service which provides fair conditions for its employees, in preference to supporting private companies, who are not observing such conditions."
