The novel sight of IU.OUU lambs fastening under cover was witnessed by Mr W. Claud Motion, a prominent Lower Waikato fanner, in the course oi a. recent trip through Canada, from which he recently returned. The enterprising owner was connected with tiho grain business, and secured at low cost the "screenings" from several graiin elevators. By feeding this with lucerne hay and 1 other supplements to the lambs in a regular ration the most economical conversion into profit was effected. Space was economised by holding the lambs in pens under cover, this eoufi.nement also ensuring that the carefully acquired condition should not be run oft' by unnecessary exercise.
