NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW. * In pursuance and of the powers vested in it by todies' Loans Act, 1913," and' ments thereto and all other Actsj authorities it in that behalf enaWißHj the Waitomo Electric- Power Boanf hereby gives Public Notice that it proposes to raise a Special Loan of £70,000 (Seventy thousand pounds) for the purpose of distributing electrical energy in the Waitomo Electric Power Board District and foi< carrying out such other works, undertakings and purposes as are authorised by tho "Electric Power Boards Act, 1918," and amendments thereto, including engineering expenses and the purchase of all necessary materials, goods and equipment, plant and land as set out hereunder:— (1) For the erection of Transmission Lines and Transformer Stations and otherwise providing for the distribution of electrical energy throughout tho Waitomo Electric Power Board District, including the change over of Te Kuiti, the purchase of the Te Kuiti Plant and Reticulation, the purchase of Offices, Transport, Plant, etc., and for the payment of preliminary expenses and other expenses allowed by section 18 of the "Electric Power Boards Amendments Act, 1922," also the interest and Sinking Fund charges on the loan during the per- . iod of construction of the works for which the loan is being raised and the expenses of raising the loan and taking the poll in connection therewith £65,000 (2) Fur the installing of electrical and other equipment for Consumers and for the purchase of electrical and other equipment to sell te Consumers as provided for under Sections 88 to 90 of "The Electrical Power Boards Act, 1918," and amendments £5,000 £70,000 The Waitomo Electric Power Board proposes further for tho purpose of providing the required security and to meet the interest, and Sinking Fund charges during the currency of the said loan which will be for a period, not exceeding 36i (Thirty-six and a half) years to make an annually recurring rate of 1-Jd (One penny farthing) in the pound updn the unimproved value of all rateable property situated in the Waitoino Electric Power Board District as described in the third Schedule of tho proclamation proclaiming such district an Electric Power District and •appearing on page 622 of "The New Zealand Gazette No. 14," of the 6th day of March, 1924. » Dated at Te Kuiti this 6th day of January, 1925. In accordance with the provisions of Section 10 of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913," Public Notice is hereby given that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Waitomo Electric Power District referred to above will be taken on Friday, the 6th day of February, 1925, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., except in the Borough of To Kuiti, where the hours, shajl be between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., upon tho above proposal. The Polling Booths will be situated Te Kuiti, Municipal Hall, Bora Street. Haugatiki Hall. Waitomo Caves Store. Otorohanga Town Hall. Otewa Public Hall. Rangeatea Public Hail. Maihihi Public Hall.
