MARAKOPA CO-OP. DAIRY COMPANY
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of shareholders was held at the factory, Awamarino, on Saturday last at 11.30 a.m. There was a fair attendance of shareholders, but many were away suffering from influenza. After full discussion, the annual report and balance-sheet for the year ending May 31, 1923, was adopted.
The five vacancies on the directorate were filled by the election of Messrs John Rothery, A. W. Joseph, Geo. Gordon, F. J. Stokes, E. Phillips, and Mr L. C. Harton, of Te Kuiti, was re-elected auditor. On the motion of Messrs H. Derecourt and Chas. Haylock, a vote of thanks and appreciation of the secretary’s (Mr P. C. Rose) services was carried.
The company is paying out Is 5d advance for August supply, and a large output is expected this season, as many suppliers are increasing their herds.
