The Eastern Cable Company notify delay on full rate and deferred traffic now normal. At thß last meeting of the Waitomo County Council the clerk was instructed to write to the Minister of Justice drawing hia attention to the very valuable assistance rendered at the Te Kuiti temporary hospital and to sufferers generally during the recent epidemic by Senior-Sergeant Eccles. The Te Kuiti Temporary Hospital was closed last Thursday and arrangements were made for the few patientß not quite recovered in private homes in the town. We have on exhibition at our office a sample of oats grown by Mr F. Lever on his Pukenui property, Te Kuiti. The sample was grown from its own manure and is about 7ft high. It is a good advertisement for the district.
