PATRIOTIC SALE.
SOLDIERS' CHRISTMAS GIFT. FUND. At the Te Kuiti sale on Wednesday last Mr R. G. Wylie, auctoineer for the Farmers' Auctioneering Company, put up two sheep for auction, which realised the handsome sum of £2B 10s. The following were the bidders: —Messrs L. Jacob, T. Lawsot?, G. Berry, H. Gould, H. Rohery, B. Nealan, A. Goldfinch, G, Morris, S. Pratt, P. Naisft, J. Francis, R. Self, W. Gadsby, R. Cotter, FJ. M. Burleigh, McAdam, Mclnteer, Snow, T. Dalzeil, W. A. Thorns, H- Boddie, E. McPherson, J. Murdock, J. N. Boddie, P. D. Hargreaves, £1 Is each; F. Vercoe £1; A. and H. Gadsby, 10s 6d each; B. Anderson, ss. The total amount will be handed to the Soldiers' Christmas Gift Fund.
The sheep in question were eventually sold for 4s each.
