ENGLISH COAST SHELLED.
SUBMARINES AT WORK London, Monday. A submarine shelled Parton, Harrington, and Whitehaven, on the coast of Cumberland near the entrance to the Solway Firth. They caQßed fires at Whitehaven and Harrington, but these were extinguished without material damage and without any loss of life.
