A VIOLENT RESISTANCE. ENEMY'S PROGRESS CHECKED. Received this day, 940. a.m. Amsterdam, Tuesday. The Lokal Aneiger's correspondent at the Eastern front states the Russian resistance is increasing in violence as Austro-Germans approach the Russian defence area. The battles are increasing in intensity, and perhaps retardation of the AustroGerman advance may be expected.
