The party stood in a semi-circle while the intruders calmly went througn their pockets and stole six hundred pounds in money and jewellery. One of tSe guests attempted to escape by the back door, but b robber promptly fired a revolver bringing him to a standstill. After clearing out the party the men balked through the door still threatening with revovlers, and boarded motor cars and decamped. Later the detectives arrested David Keenahan who was charged with assaulting and robbing one of tha j guests. lie was remanded on bail of £I6OO.
