TE KUITI COURT.
UNDER THE INFLUENCE. At a sitting of the Police Court at Te Kuiti on Saturday, before Messrs Boddie and Tammadge a man named Joseph Riley was charged with drunkenness and also with having no visible means of support. Conviction*? were recorded on each charge, accused being fined 20s and coats on the first count, and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon for the second. Accused said he bad work to go to and promised to keep away from the temptations of town. A COSTLY SPREE. Ruru Bell was charged with having U3ed obßcene language in Rora street. He was convicted and fined £4, in default a month's imprisonment. Accused was also ordered to pay the costs of a plate glass window, in the shop of Mr Ellison, saddler, which had been broken by him, and which was valued at £ls. In each case at the request of the accused a prohibition order \va9 issued.
