POLITICIANS INVOLVED.
THREE MEMBERS RESIGN. 8y Telegraph.—Press Association. —Copyright Received Friday, 10.50 p.m. Quebec, Friday. Following allegations published in the Montreal Daily Mail, accusing three members of the legislature of graft in connection with concession" for the formation of the Montreal Fairs Association the editors were summoned to the bar of the House and gave the names of the men they accused, who therepuon resigned their seats.
Proofs gained by Detective Buttinger, who secured election as a directo' on the Fairs Association in order to get evidence against accused. *' Buttinger has since been appointed Chief'of the New York Poilce.
The legislature ordered an investigation. It is understood the resigned members'intend taking legal action to clear themselves.
