ARMS FOR ULSTER.
GOVERNMENT MATERIAL SEIZED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Copyrigfit London, Monday. Customs officers seized a quantity of war material consigned to two regiments at Carriekfergus Castle, near Belfast, in view of in Ulster, although the cases were conspicuously marked with the Government broad arrow.
Despite the officers' bitter protests the customs officials refused to release the goods, arguing that: the proclama tion forbidding the importation of arms into Ireland did not make any mention of any exemptions.
