A NEW YEAR WEDDING.

ANDERSON—ORMSBY

New Year's Day dawned in is most becoming manner upon a gay and happy scene of more than usual interest among "The Pinea," the home of Mr and Mrs Toki Anderson and their venerablb father Mr Tom Anderson. By 10 o'clock guestß to the number of about four hundred had arrived to witness the ceremony of marriage between Wiare, tho eldest son of Mr Toki Anderson, and Emma, the eldest daughter of the late Mr J. Ormsby. Rev. H. Hake conducted the murriage service. The bride, who was Riven away by her uncle, Mr Arthur Ormsby, was handuomely attired in a gown of white silk made with court train and beautifully trimmed with alover lace and Russian glass and silver bead Work. She wore a wreath of lovely buds and veil, and carried a very handsome shower bouquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Ethel Ormsby, sister to the bride, was dressed in white silk and carried a lovely shower bouquet of pink. The two little mites who acted as train bearers, looked very aweet in their white silk frock?, white Bhoes and Bocks, carrying out their dutieß With becoming solemnity. They were Ruby Ormsby, Bister of the bride, and Isabella, the bridegroom's Bister. The bridegroom was attended by hia cousin, Mr Tim Anderson, and Mr Ormsby. A large marquee Wat erected for the occasion, and three long tables Were tastefully decorated and laden with all the good things of the season. The guests were seated in relayß of upward of a hundred. Great credit is due to those who acted as stewards for their patience and tactful arrangements for th«» uomfort of those present. During the afternoon games, singing, and music were indulged in, also Beveral haka*. The guests seemed to enjoy the beautiful shade afforded by the great pine trees which surround the green sward in front of the house. In the cool of the evening tea was served, after which people began to wend their way home. Mr and Mrs Anderson have much to be proud of in the general success of the first wedding in their family.
