ELECTRIC LIGHT.
The Editor. Sir,—l must congratulate the City Fathers upon the great benefit conferred upon the community by the introduction of the electric light. The light is all the more essential as our streets and footpaths are in such a de plorable condition «s to render night traffic dangerous There is one weakness about the electric service, however, which I should like to draw attention to. The lights are extinguished at eleven o'clock and great inconvenience is caused thereby. I should like very much to know if this practice is to continue. I was about to install the light and sell off my kerosen« lamps. Until I learn more concerning the service I, and a number of others, will defer action. In any case t e light should bs kept on till midnight.—l am, etc., NEW CHUM.
