A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
THE FORTHCOMING SHOW.
AN ATTRACTIVE SCHEDULE.
The second annual show under the auspices of the King Country Central A. and P. Association, is to be held iwi. February 19th and 20tn, and the Committee is actively engaged making arrangements for the event. After last year's show it was decided that in place of continuing to run the fixture as a one day show that two days should be devoted to the function. The two'days allow ample time for judging and the vaibus competitions are not crowded into each other. The schedules, which are now issued, contain in addition to the usual classes and competitions a number of innovations which should be welcomed by the public generally. Among the sheep exhibits is included a special farmers' class for Romney-Lincoln ewes wbich should attract a large entry. The Romney-Lincoln cross is highly popular in this district having been found particularly suitable as a general utility pheep, and ke*n competition is expected among the settlers in this class. The competitions are numerous and should prove specially attractive to the public on both days. In addition to the usual programme there are events for polo pqniea, and a stockmen's competition which should prove highly interesting. The ladies Committee is doing good work in organising the home industries section of r the show and this popular branch should be patronised. A building for housing the exhibits in the home industries section will be provided this year, and the officials will bei working under greatly improved conditions as compared with last season.
