ALLEGED ARSON.
On Friday last week about 7 p.m., the Niho Nibo dairy factory was noticed ablaze, but fortunately two settlers passing were able to put out the tire, which had damaged the books of the A. and P. Association.
At an inquiry made last Tuesday at Nibo Niho, before Mr I. Hunt, J.P., and a jury a verdict was returned that the place wag wilfully set fire to by som°. person or persons unknown, but that the destruction of the books after the fire and the removal of the desk from the office by C. Cameron constituted a suspicious circumstance. After the inquiry Cameron was arrested and charged wtih arson. He was remanded and will appear at Matiere on September sth to answer to the charge. Bail was allowed in two sureites of £l5O and his own bond of £l5O.
