Marakopa.
At the meeting of directors of the Marakopa Co-operative Dairy Company, held at Kairimu on Saturday, the tender of Mr Thomas Johnston was accepted for the erection of the building, the amount of his tender being £B6 15s. The timber is being procured from the Marakopa mill and a start will be made to erect the factory as soon as the material can be got on to the site. Mr J. Smith was appointed to act as secretary until the opening of the factory. Tenders are being called for the supply of a complete plant capable of handling the milk from 500 cows, no objections being taken to a second-hand plant if in good order, and the price satisfactory.
