"AN ENGLISHMAN'S HOME."
By special arrangement with Mr. J. C. Williamson. Mr. Edwin Ceacb's , powerful and specialty selected drama- , tic company, numbering over twenty; artists, will shortly visit this centre , with "An Englishman's Home,"which J caused alt the seats at Wyndham's! Theatre London* to be booked months 1 to advance. When produced in Sydney ; at Easter, at the Theatre Royal and subsequently at Her Majesty's Theatre Melbourne, a repetition of the London nab was witnessed, people righting almost tike savages to secure seats in advance. The London "Daily Matt" tarras "An Englishman's Home" a real, rousing emotional play, which, viewed either as a satire or patriotic lesson, stirred the house to genuine righting enthusiasm. From a Sydney morning paper we take the following : extract:—"Such was the unexampled j prestige that preceded "An Englishman's Home" that more than a thousand seats were reserved for the "First Night in Australia" at the Theatre Royal on Saturday. In this way, in place of a typical holiday audience, the performance was witnessed by a brilliantly representative gathering. An over ftownig audianee is assured here, especially at the popular prices of admiasino.
