CROQUET
KAIKOURA CLUB CLOSES SEASON. There was not a very large attendance of members present when the 1949-50 season of the Kaikoura Croquet Club was officially closed yesterday afternoon by the president. (Mrs G. H. McMillan). A number of a.polo gies were received for the absence of members. Mrs M cMillan thanked members an J supporters for their assistance during the year, and presented the cups and trophies won during the season as follows:—Senior cup, Mrs H. B. Lockett; intermediate cup, Mrs C. AVoodward; junior cup, Mrs J. P. Smith; senioi button, Mrs Lockett; junior button, Mrs Woodward; doubles buttons (senior and junior), Mesdames Lockett and W. A. Stephens. A lucky cup competition, arranged by Mrs J. A. Reid, was won by Mrs McMillan.
