BASKETBALL.
Following are the results of Saturday’s games:—No. 1 team: Kaikoura 9, Cheviot 9. No. 2 team: Cheviot 9, Kaikoura 5. Sub-Association Competition (Ball Cup): Athletic 13, Kaikoura A 10. Handicap Corqpetition: Athletic (scr) 14, Kaikoura A (scr) 6. There was a large attendance at the dance held in the Drill Hall on Saturday night, supervised by the Kaikoura Basketball Sub-Association. The Cheviot players were the guests of the evening. Music was supplied by the Dance Band, extras being played by the Misses I. Scott, P. Kennedy and A. Harnett. Lucky spot one : step dances were won by Mr and Mrs J. A. Reid and Miss E. Clarke and Mr J. Smith. Supper was served and dancing con-| tinued until midnight.
