GREEK POLICY LINKED WITH THAT OF TURKEY.
LONDON, August 8. “The Greek Deputy Minister of Information and Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs (Mr Dragoumis), welcoming Turkey’s decision to break off relations with Germany, made declarations oiT the post-war aim<? of Greece,” says Reuter’s Cairo correspondent. “Mr Dragoumis declared that the fate of Greece was linked with that of Turkey. Both countries had abandoned any territorial claims at each other’s expense. They were determined to keep . a common frontier in the Balkans. *‘ Mr Dragoumis, describing Bulgaria as the Prussia of the east, said: ‘ Greek Macedonia and Thrace, the only rich provinces in our otherwise poor country, nvast be fully protected against any new attempt at invasion from the north. Albania must cease to be a ready-mjade bridgehead for Italy to invade our peninsula.’ ”
